I have had more than one cardiologist to treat my heart. However, in my career, I treated many a human heart, not physically, but metaphorically.
There are many broken human hearts. They can't all be healed by medicine. They can sometimes be healed only by care and love. I did not bring physical healing to them. They know what I brought.
Now I need medicine's healing for my physical heart. We shall see the limits of medicine. And to those whose brokenness of heart I addressed, it was my great joy to be able to address their pain with the balm of care.
